Newpharm is glad to announce its participation in the “PARSIL – SILencing the PARasites: RNA Interference as a sustainable and innovative tool for managing Varroa destructor and Dermanyssus gallinae“, coordinated by Prof. Giuseppe Fusco, in collaboration with the Department of Biology of the University of Padua and the company Smart Bugs.

Funded by Uni-Impresa, this project aims to develop an approach based on the RNA interference technique to control two harmful mites in the zootechnical field: Varroa destructor, the main parasite responsible for the decline of Apis mellifera colonies, and the mite Dermanyssus gallinae, which is responsible for severe infestations in poultry farms.
