Features
The resin flowing in specific channels within the wood of resin-producing plants serves a therapeutic function for the plants themselves, but in endotherapy, it poses a significant challenge. It can potentially mess up the equipment, causing a general slowdown in the absorption of the product.
The R.I.T.E. 2.2 device provides a solution to the resin constraint through the combination of the advantages of the Bitecare® method with specific equipment. By exerting gentle yet significant external pressure, it facilitates the entry of the fluid into the xylem. The needle holder of the new R.I.T.E. 2.2 is made of polycarbonate and can be easily positioned on the trunk using a rubber mallet.
Equipped with a pressure gauge for continuous monitoring of operating pressure, the R.I.T.E. 2.2 device allows injections to be performed while ensuring optimal movement of the liquid within the tree without affecting the plant’s physiology.

The R.I.T.E. 2.2 device is also well-suited for endotherapeutic injections on palm trees. By using a needle of appropriate length, the R.I.T.E. 2.2 kit enables controlled-pressure interventions on both cedars and broadleaf trees, thereby reducing treatment times compared to endoinfusions. To enhance the plant’s product absorption, it’s recommended to use it in combination with SAPJET® HD. At the end of operations, proper cleaning of the instrument with CleanTech is essential.

R.I.T.E. is a tool made up of several interconnected parts:
Special 65 mm needle
Supersoft gasket
Needle-holder in stainless steel with quick coupling unit
Non-return valve connected to a pressure gauge, in turn connected to a special Luer-Lock adapter
Self-refilling syringe and two-way valve system
Hammer screwed to a handpiece that allows the needle to be inserted into the wood and extracted
